Transmission Problems

Slipping, disengaging out of gear, slow engagement, delayed shifting, check engine light are some of the symptoms indicating that a transmission needs attention. What is That Noise?

Cars sometimes start making strange noises – some of them are a result of age, some of them are real emergencies that need to be taken care of before serious damage is done to your engine.

Squeaking  Squealing  High Pitch Metallic Noise 

   This problem can be either while driving or stationary:

water pump
drive belt pulley
brake pad metal sensor
A/C compressor
drive belt

The solution for these problems is replacement of old and damage parts.  Delays in repairs of these problems can easily escalate the cost of repairs.

Air Conditioner Not Cold?

We know it’s crazy here in the summer but sometimes you turn on your car and you’re pretty sure your air conditioner isn’t as cold as it used to be.

There are many potential causes of a car’s air conditioner not working, and sometimes easy solutions to these problems.

1. Is your car’s AC stuck on “HEAT”?

Sometimes we overlook obvious answers like this – happens to all of us. Check to make sure that your AC setting isn’t set to “heat” and the temperature knob is turned all the way to cold.

2. Second potential cause of AC not working

Your A/C system can be affected by your engine cooling system like coolant leaks, malfunctioning radiator fan.

3. Third potential cause

It could also be low on refrigerant which is an easy fix for a certified air conditioning mechanic.
